Rich, Rich, Rich,
So… You do a Mend. This doth Offend. While you lie at home, like a plump ripe Male Hen. Enemies and Friends wait for you to be back on the Svengoolie program Again.
Monsters and Ghouls perform the Svengoolie show like Fools, using broken Ol’ found Tools. Which is OK, cause there’s No restrictions pertaining in the Rules.
In Svengoolie’s Castle… It’s bare. Even the Spiders and Rats are not there. We wait for him, No Svengoolie in the lair, and what’s worst… in the mirror — I see… I’m losing every inch of my Hair!!
Rich Koz… your Heart is getting Healthier… but you still walking the Earth, with those funny Toes. You must make it back to work. Your Boss and Wife approves of this plan… but your Dog and your Cat still think of you, as a Jerk.
Me-TV is Not HAPPY. “Come Back, Come Back to WCIU-TV,” it repeats to me. Svengoolie, with your Top Hat and Painted Face, see ya soooooooon, the World isn’t the same… without YOU in this Place.
The Vampires are crying, the Werewolves are howling, the Martians refuse to Eat and are really upset, and the Mummy is Scowling.
I spoke with Tombstone, The Talking Skull, Doug Scharf as Doug Graves, the piano player with the band; Doug and the Graves-Tones. The Prehistoric Rubber Chicken Kerwyn of KERWYN’S CORNER segment of the show and Svengoolie’s brother Fraido. In addition, with the HAND that appears from Svengoolie’s Chamber’s Opened Wooden Door for the last closing bit at the ending of the Svengoolie program. All say… Hey Rich, Hey Boss, Hip, hip Hurray. See you back at Work, since you’ve been gone… We’ve received NO PAY.
My time is up; my time is through… that’s ALL the time that I can spare to share with you. So as I end and as I quit, Rich GET OFF YOUR TUKHUS or take a…. Good Night.

Rich, I’ve been checking every day for word about you. So, so glad to hear that things are going well!! Do whatever the doctors tell you and you will be back to work before you know it!
Last November I was in the hospital having a cancerous growth removed from my throat, so I know how it feels to be hospitalized at this time of year, hoping against hope that they’ll let you go home in time for the holidays. So glad you made it, that you’re home with your family for the holidays, and that you are getting needed rest.
Looking forward to the day when you are back to your old self once more!

Sven, Don’t push yourself too fast. This could possibly be your first holiday to relax without any pressing issues in a long, long time. Let your support staff at the show take a little breather too. You’ll head into 2013 a new man! Our thoughts are with you, as always.
We are VERY gald you are on the mend but take it at your own pace! I have loved your show with my older cousins & uncles in the seventires and have since passed the torch down to my 13 yr. old son. I never miss you on The U! Remember… my first 3D was with your show and it was ‘The Creature From the Black Lagoon” 🙂
Glad to see that you are on your way to being your old self. Our family member had the same procedure, and she is doing great. The rehab can be very challenging but it is worth it. Do what your are asked to do. You will be in better shape than before!! Our very best to you and yours this holiday season.
Kathy and Ken
Woo Hoooo! Rich/Sven is on the mend! Have a Great Christmas and Get Kerwyn a Bears Sweater for a Present. He looks a little Chilly sitting there unless he’s in that steaming pot, he’s giving me Goose bumps or Chicken bumps? no wait…that’d be Chicken Pox. Wub, Wub, Wub!!
I hope that you are feeling better and you can take some time to be with family and friends this holiday season. Kick back, watch some football and enjoy the passing of time. Rock on! Awaiting your return.
Glad you’re home! Rest up. Tell Kerwin to hold down the fort.
When people ask me what I miss the most about living in Chicago my first response is always Svengoolie! Thanks to me TV I am now able to watch you in Michigan. My family and I are so relieved to know that things are going well and that you are recovering. Our thoughts and prayers are with you!
Sven ya comin’ back, Sven?
(Nyuk, nyuk, nyuk!)
Seriously, glad you are better and I hope to see you back soon!
From a relatively new (via MeTV) fan
Dear Sven: My brother went through the same thing this past March. The main thing is to get up and get moving. It’s hard at first, but take your pain pill, allow it to start working then get walking, several times a day and a little longer each time. The more you walk, the better you’ll feel, and you will surprise yourself. You will very soon find you won’t need the pain pills at all. My brother did this, and by the time the home-visit physical therapist showed up to start him on an exercise program, she told him she wasn’t needed. He did his rehab on his own. Willpower.
Get well soon, Sven We all miss you.
Sven/Rich: Just to add to my previous post, I’m sure you realize how fortunate you are to have had not one, but two advance warnings (as spontaneous, quick, and unexpected as they were), and that you had the precious time to get immediate, life-saving treatment for your heart conditions right away. I think the Lord was looking after you both times. Now, attend to your rehab, rest up, take your meds, and follow your doctors’ advice regarding the lifestyle adjustments all chronic heart conditions require, and you’ll be fine. Again, you are in our hearts and prayers. Enjoy the holidays, and we hope to see you dodging rubber chicken again soon.
Best wishes always Dear Svennie! <3 :-). Healing is such a beautiful thing and you will continue to be in my prayers. Saturday's are so much better with you in them too! Blessings always and keep strong.
Also, Happy Holidays Svennie to you and ALL the awesome Fans! :-). I am quite amazed that we are already almost back in December. Wow.
So glad to hear your on the mend and home for the holidays.
Get better each and every day so the man in the top hat can

We live near Palm Springs, CA, and for way too long there was no horror host to watch after Elvira and Seymore. We love the movies, Kerwyn, the rubber chickens, and when you show the items and drawings people send in. Enjoy this time eith your family, and we can’t wait to see you back to work. HAPPY HOLIDAYS to you and yours! God bless you!
Hi Rich. Glad to hear you are doing better. Long time without any news. You have many friends who you have never met and I am one of them. Wishing you happiness and good health.
Rich/Sven– The whole family is happy to hear you are recovering, make sure you take time to recuperate before returning to the media blitz. After all, you only have several hundred shows in the vaults and I watch MeToo and MeTV all the time, so I am a big fan of reruns!

Is that really Karloff’s beard back in the day? If he was around today he could be on the show Whisker Wars on IFC. And by the way he really wanted that chalk in that opening scene! He was willing to chalk a prison guard for it! LOL.

Here’s the QUESTION. Now, for the sake of CUB FANS — THINK!!!
Q: If it takes the football team the CHICAGO BEARS an hour to
eat a whole turkey, how long will it take two teams to eat
A: It depends. Are the teams professional or amachewers?

Glad to hear you are home with your family and getting better.
I apologize that my brother and I will not make it over to your lovely laboratory/dungeon for Christmas Dinner with your wife and the littlelins. I’ll tell you what happened at the grocery store that prevents me from being seen publicly with my brother, together, for long awhile.
We went grocery shopping for a turkey, so that your wife could fry it up for all of us to enjoy eatin’, but instead… the following happened in the grocery store.
My brother was picking through the frozen turkeys at the grocery store, but couldn’t find one big enough for the Christmas Dinner. He asked the stock boy, “Do these turkeys get any bigger?”
The stock boy answered, “No sir, they’re dead.”
My brother and I will remain in the house in our corner of the World… Petticoat Junction, until the holidays are officially over or until the weather improves. When the weather changes from makin’ frozen rain that falls from the sky, until it produces warmer rain that is wetter.
In addition, remember…
Question: Why did Humpty Dumpty have a great fall?
Answer: It’s obvious… To make up for a lousy summer.

Like many other fans, I look forward to Saturday nights again, now that I have found your program! As I’m sure you have been old countless times, your humor, movies, props, etc. bring so many laughs and entertainment to us, your fans, and are soooo much-appreciated. I hope you are recovering well and enjoying your time off with your family this holiday season.
I grew up in Indianapolis, and at the age of eleven, looked forward to 11:00 pm every Friday night on channel 4 to watching “SAMMY TERRY’S NIGHTMARE THEATER”. As you may know, that program was VERY similar to yours….a scary-lookin’ host (“Sammy Terry”) rising from a coffin to show old, scary movies (well….they were not too old at THAT time, lol), and my older brother and I hardly ever missed a single episode. I have missed that kind of entertainment for all of these years….that is, until a month ago when I found your show on MeTV! I’m now very happy to tell you that I’ve seen your past four shows, lookin’ forward to many more, and am now very pleased to be one of your (many) fans.
Thanks for brightening up our Saturday nights!!!

Just read that you have had some problems, and I wish you a full recovery. The Pauling Therapy Essentials Formula, a powdered formula based on Linus Pauling’s “cure” for heart disease would be great for you. It’s on the net. Your show is great, and you are so cute and entertaining on it. I discovered it on Me TV. I hope you are Svengoolie for years to come and I mean that in a good way. :o)

I went with my brother to a Barber Shop, because he thought his hair was kinda gettin’ long, and he wanted to do somethin’ about it.
We stepped inside the Barber Shop… and when this is what happened.
“How much for a haircut,” asked my brother.
“$16.00,” replied the barber.
“How much for a shave?”
“$13.00,” replied the barber.
“OK then,” my brother said as he sat in the barber’s chair, “shave my head.”
THAT’S IT. Good night!!!

Today, I’ll be switchin’ the numbers around on the front of my house, so that my brother can’t remember and find out where I live for a Christmas Day visit.
I refuse to have my brother over at my place, because of his misinterpreted Christmas wish. My brother and I were visiting our mother a couple of days ago. I was in the kitchen preparing finger sandwiches and hot eggnog with cinnamon, when I over heard my mother’s and brother’s conversation. That’s when I decided the hospital must had, MUST HAD… accidentally switched MY brother at birth with this this brother. This is what occurred.
“It’s no use!” My mother heard my brother shout.
“What’s no use?” she asked.
“Well, I’ve been praying for a new computer for three weeks, and Art just doesn’t listen.”
“Art who, dear?”
“Art in heaven,” my brother replied.
What a way ta start out a New Year.
MERRY MASCHRIST. 🙂

See how my brother’s tomfoolery and shenanigans upsets me.
“HO HO, NO GO!”
